Last minute ethical high street gifts are not easy to come by. Ethical shoppers are usually limited to online shopping and very specific niche stores. By reducing your strict rules a little you can find something on the high street that can meet many of your most vital ethical credentials.

If you are searching for a last minute Christmas gift that’s not listed let me know on Twitter or Facebook and I’ll try to help.

Last Minute Ethical High Street Gifts

Top, Left to Right

  1. Marks & Spencer

3 Pack Cotton Hankies £7.50; Classic Spotted Tie £17.50; Cufflinks & Tie Bar Set £25
Satin Pyjamas £22.50; Sparkle Necklace & Bracelet Set £18; Christmas Cat Mug £6

In recent times Marks & Spencer have taken great steps towards establishing a more ethical and transparent supply chain. Though they are still far from perfect, I believe in rewarding good steps in the right direction & so I do shop at M&S. If they are good enough for Livia Firth they are good enough for me!

  2. Lush

    Relax Gift Set (bath bomb, bubble bar, shower gel & bath melt) £19.50;
Self-built men’s set: Cosmetic Lad Moisturiser £12.95; Dirty Springwash Shower Gel £4.95; Ambrosia Shaving Cream £4.95; Vintage Knot Wrap £4.50

Most ethical and cruelty-free shoppers know Lush well and it’s a great stop for Christmas gifts. You will find gifts for both him and her in Lush, just try to resist buying something for yourself while in there!

Bottom, Left to Right

  1. Body Shop

Shea Festive Picks Set £18; Gent’s Post Party Rescue Kit £16

The Body Shop is a brand I try not to support, due to their association with Revlon, however there are many who believe supporting the brand shows Revlon that there is a demand for cruelty-free products. It’s also an easily accessible option on the high street. Your personal ethics will determine if it’s acceptable or not.

  2. Waterstones

Large Notebook £10; Mini Address Book £10

Waterstones are now stocking some of the awesome stationary products by Seasalt. These are the perfect way to get one of  my favourite ethical brands, on the high street & on Christmas Eve!

  3. Holland & Barrett

Weleda Relax & Pamper Package £55; Montezuma’s Vegan & Organic Truffles £14.79; Cocoa Libre Dairy-Free Milk Chocolate Penguins £4.99

You can find a wide range of ethical, vegan and vegetarian products in Holland & Barrett. It’s a great option for some stocking fillers as well as larger items.
