Ethical Christmas Crackers

Ethical Christmas Crackers

Ethical Christmas crackers are a great way to decrease the human impact of your festive season. I would much rather enjoy a cracker created by a well paid worker and made from sustainable materials than a mass produced product containing a tacky plastic surprise.

Ethical Fair has searched and found a great range of ethical Christmas crackers for the festive season.

  • Eco Friendly Recycled Christmas Crackers – Not on the High Street

    £35 for 6, ships worldwide

These ethical Christmas crackers are handmade in Britain from screen printed recycled paper and water based inks. Each one contains a festive badge, a Christmas candy cane, a Joke and a Christmas party hat. A box contains 6 crackers.

  • Reusable Christmas Crackers – Ethical Superstore

£23.95 for 10, ships to UK and Ireland

A pack of 10 reusable crackers made from FSC certified materials in the UK. They feature a silver and white snowflake design with wine ribbon. You can fill them with any prize you want (and your own jokes!) and they only need a new cracker snap for next year (£1.10 for 6).

  • Cracker Kit – Traidcraft

    £12, ships to UK

Made by GPI (Get Paper Industry) in Kathmandu, who give a portion of profits to GWP to fund the building of local schools, promotion health, and campaigns against human trafficking (as many as an estimated 15,000 women sold and trafficked out of Nepal every year). This kit lets you (or your little ones) make your own crackers, choose your own surprises and write your own jokes. For an added touch you could personalise each one for your dinner guests.

  • Recycled Red Crackers – Cracker Tree

£24.99 for 6, ships to UK. Contact for an international quotation.

Eco crackers hand made in Dorset. Each contains a hat, snap, motto & eco gift. Both the crackers, trays and contents are made from recycled materials. If red isn’t for you Cracker Tree has some other colours and designs on their website. They don’t supply eco crackers exclusively so be sure you’re in the right section.

  • Make Your Own Crackers – Oxfam

    £3.99, ships to UK

These colourful crackers require you to assemble each one and add a surprise. Each kit contains six cracker barrels, made from recycled board, along with the traditional jokes, hats, ribbons and snappers. All sales go towards supporting Oxfam’s work.
